The Arcadians, 1954

Something that the older generations may remember attending.

The musical ‘The Arcadians,’ played to a packed house in the Workmen’s Institute for a week in March 1954.   Among the extensive cast were:

Gwen Pope,
Mrs. Edwards,
Mrs. Angel,
Marjorie Collett,
Mrs. Jones,
Phyllis Neads,
Jack Wanklyn,
George and May Dayton,
Gladys Vernon,
Heather Flook,
Elma Bowen and
Iris Clark.

Three men responsible for lighting and stage-management:
Derek Parsons,
Len carpenter and
Jack Parsons.

This was possibly part of the Illtyd's Operatic Society programme, as many of the cast would have performed for the Society, but it was recalled as a separate event.
